Ingredients
Long grain basmati rice - 350 grams
Pre cooked refined oil - 1 tbsp
Onion, peeled and chopped 1
Garlic, peeled & crushed - 2 cloves
Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1/4 tbsp
Freshly grated nut meg 1/4 tbsp
Lamb mince 250 grams
tomatoes 400 grams (chopped)
water 300 ml
apricots 125 grams (chopped)
pepper, salt to taste
Preparation
- Heat refined oil in a large pan. Add the chopped onion & fry for 6 minutes
- Make a paste of coriander seeds, garlic and cumin seeds
- Add onion and cook for 4 minutes.
- Add the lamb and fry for 6 minutes
- Add water and tomatoes and boil
- Now, its time to add salt, pepper, apricots and allow the dish to simmer for 18 minutes
- Now transfer the rice to the pan and cook for around 12 minutes.
- Garnish with nuts
