Did You Ever Love Me? Book Review: Can Rithvik singh turn heartbreak into a homecoming?

Did You Ever Love Me? by Rithvik Singh is a tender contemporary poetry collection about love, heartbreak, longing, self worth and learning to let go. Its greatest strength is emotional accessibility: Singh writes directly to readers who feel intensely and care deeply. The collection offers comfort without pretending heartbreak is simple, though its simplicity may occasionally feel familiar to seasoned poetry readers. Did you Ever Love Me? Have you ever loved someone so completely that, after they left, you were left wondering whether they had ever understood what they had been given? Not merely whether they loved you, but whether they ever noticed how much you loved them, how much patience you offered, how many small things you remembered, or how often you chose to stay when leaving might have been easier. There is a particular loneliness in that question because it rarely arrives at a dramatic moment. More often, it finds you while you are doing something completely ordinary. Yo...

I would say no to 33% to ladies

    1. MP, MLA, Minister, Chief Minister and Prime minister are the supreme posts of the democratic India that directly influence the well being of the people. Even a small mistake by them may make the people to suffer for generations.
    2. At the moment, majority of ladies are not exposed independently to face the real world. They are dependent and shielded. This makes their general personality poor and their knowledge limited.
    3. Now tell me, do you think it is worth taking a risk of exposing ladies with substandard qualities directly to supreme posts. Don’t you think they are most prone to make wrong decisions because of lack of exposure? And as I said early you know how much these wrong decision may affect people.
    4. This world belongs to every living creature. No one can be neglected. Ladies should actively take part in politics. No doubt about it.
    5. But to do that, we need to create good environment for them to accumulate the qualities required to acquire the top position in politics. If you want to make a man win the running race, we need to give good food to make him strong and good practice to sharpen his skills. Instead we cant just place him 20 meters ahead of others or ask others to run slowly.

well what will happen ultimately?
powerful men will make their wives or mothers stand in the elections and once they win, these ladies will become a mere rubber stamp for these men. Happens all the time in the local polls of panchayat or municipal ones.

@ AM: That is what exactly will happen with this current proposal. And that is the reason why I suggest a more natural way. This is time consuming but is worth.

The only thing that can wade off the dirt is you- yourself. If rabri Devi can run a a state than my mom is a better contestant for the CM of Bihar(woefully, none will vote for her. I even doubt my dad will!)...
the propesed bill shall hardly makes a difference; from my point of view only educated bachelors and spinsters must be there in the Parliament(they have no children to gulp multi crore scams for) and that has the same probability as my father being the next PM of India.Ramdev baba is a good choice!ruefully we dont have 545 ramdevs in our nation. so the best choice is educated politicians and the bestest is take matters in your own hands...

@ SP Ajay: I appreciate your idea of taking matters in our own hands. But I dont think education has anything to do with honesty. Honesty is a virtue and it cant be taught but it should be realized. I know more educated politicians and officials who were graciously corrupt.

I support 33% reservation... because it assures 66% for men through out the future of this nation.... I am sure woman would have been in majority in distant future if this step was not taken... hail man power...hehehehehe ...

Reservation is not natural and efficient way. even if we positively think that 66% is for men, that will be wrong way.

System should be like, best of the people gets elected and takes responsibility on hand. So even if, tomorrow 51 % women found better than men (theoretical :) or may be practically possible :)), let she rule as (if) she deserves.

Inspector Sharma-India salutes you

Its a sad day for the nation as it bids the final farewell to Delhi police inspector Mohan Chand Sharma. He died on Friday in an encounter with the terrorists who were involved in the Delhi bomb blasts. The nation could've rejoiced today with the successful operation of killing 2 terrorists and nabbing one, if not for the painful loss of this brave soul. He was the first one to enter the building where the terrorists were said to be hiding. Just think of the courage displayed by this man in the hour of need. As he knocked on the door, he heard some commotion going on inside. So he went inside through another door and was shot at. His team members swung into action after this and it was all over in the blink of an eye. Though he was taken to the hospital, Sharma succumbed to his injuries soon. He was a tough cop who has taken part in many successful encounters and brought laurels to the Delhi police force, but sadly this one proved his last. The terrorists who were killed were not m...

Satyameva Jayate - Free speech

More than 40 people have died in the riots that have followed the killing of Swami Lakshmanananda in Kandhamal in Orissa. 5 people were killed and 47 injured in Mumbai when Jerry Falwell made some comments saying that the Prophet of Islam was a violent man and a terrorist. 12 people had died in Mumbai in anti-rushdie riots. There are more instances I can point out, but these stand out because of the scale and because of how related India is to last two people. Mr. Falwell runs a Christian ministry in US and Salman Rushdie, although ethically an Indian, had migrated to Pakistan and was a citizen of UK at that time. Of all riots that took place all over the world following the statement by Jerry Falwell and against Salman Rushdie, India was the only place with causalities. Orissa has been a hotbed of communal tensions between Hindus and Christians for a while now. India is the largest democracy which is more than 60 years old. Why then are we so undemocratic in our conduct? I will not sa...
